band stuff

(im doing this in script form bcuz its faster to type)

band director: okay, lets play the song again!
(band kids play song. btw, im on snare drum, which i've never done before)
band director: that was only at tempo 112. the song is supposed to be at 138. lets try it!(turns on metronome to 138)
band kids: wow, thats fast!
band director: exactly. pixie, you have sixteenth notes on snare. do you think you can handle it, or do you want myth to do them for you?
(fyi, myth is an expert at alternate sticking patterns and stuff like that)
me: i can handle it! (blushes)
band director: okay pixie, but if you can't do it, then just play the first beat. now lets play!
(there's a drum solo in the beginning and it has sixteenth notes. i play the whole thing, not just the first beat.)
random trumpet players who are usually annoying: yay pixie!
(i laugh and slightly blush)
band director: the crash cymbals didn't play at measure 19. lets start there!
(we play at measure 19)
(my sticks get so sweaty they almost fall out of my hands but no one notices)
trumpet players: yay pixie!
me: thanks, and kindly stop before it gets annoying!
