I Forgive You (a poem which is very demented)

You

Who I trusted

And loved and cared about

My whole life

You

Lied to me

Told me that you were my parents

When we weren't even related

When I found

The adoption certificate

Gathering dust in the basement

I was shocked

How could you

Possibly

Ever

Lie to me like this?

You told me

I'd been born from you

But it wasn't true

You adopted me

But I won't leave you

You raised me

From when I was a year old

It was nice of you

To take me in

After my parents died

So I forgive you

For your lies.
